Exercise of the Week: Criss Cross

Tuesday January 2, 2007
Pilates ExercisesThis weeks exercise, Criss Cross, is not just another ab. workout, though it is a good one. Criss Cross especially targets the obliques. The obliques are abdominal muscles that help stabilize our posture, and aid in forward bending and rotation of the spine. But more importantly to some in the quest for post holiday shape up, the obliques help define the sides of the waist!

Criss Cross is a basic Pilate mat exercise, but it is quite a workout. No worries though, I've added some modifications and building block suggestions for those of you just getting going. Go to the Full Instructions for Criss Cross

You can have the Exercise of the Week, along with other great Pilates info., sent directly to you each week in the free Pilates Newsletter.
