Walking and Pilates - a Fun Cross Training Pair

Here is a cross-training tip for those of you who are looking to vary your workouts or maybe amp up your calorie burning: Wendy Bumgardner, About's guide to walking, has a great email course called Walk of Life. It is a ten-week course where each day you get an email that includes a walking assignment, walking lesson, nutrition tip, healthy recipe, and motivational tip. I'm on day 23 and I've enjoyed every lesson I've received so far.
It is bitter cold here where I live so honestly, some of them I've only read. Nevertheless, each course I've received has been interesting. I love walking for exercise and pleasure, and I find it to be a perfect cross training choice for Pilates.
