I would just like to say that I payed $2700.00 for just my beginers sytems level certification for pilates. I also teach at a gym besides at the pilates studio. I have found most gym pilates teachers do not have a really good certifications they don’t know the order of the exercises, and just throw anything together. Do people have any idea exactly how much the equipment cost? Every piece of equipment is hand made and is extrememly exspensive. The benefits of pilates far out weigh the cost. I have osteoporsis and a degenerative disc in my neck and I have never felt as good as when I stay with my pilates workout. The joy I feel when I have a client either leave a mat class or a personal training session and they say how great their back feels, is just such a high.
This is a very “open” question. Pilates is only “too expensive” is there is no quality. The problem is that there are too many people “teaching” Pilates without proper training or credentials – NOT the cost!
No question, this is awesome. Not often do I come
upon a blog that_s equally educative and interesting on web
2.0 site, and without question, you have hit the nail on the
head. Not too many people these days make an effort to put some thought into this issue.
It’s great that I was able to find this while searching for related topics.
