Moving Toward Midline In Pilates we talk a lot about moving from center but paradoxically, the way we do that is by keeping a strong consciousness of staying collected in the center, especially in the powerhouse and toward the midline of the body. For example, the exercise of the week, Pilates push up, will not work at all unless you use your powerhouse and track the midline of your body the whole time. Powerhouse? Midline? What am I talking about? Find these and lots of other Pilates terms defined in the Pilates glossary. Photo © A.D.A.M.
