This is a heads-up for those of you thinking about taking the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) certification exam. The PMA has just announced some changes to the requirements for taking the exam. Among them are that the minimum age is now 18, CPR is no longer required, and one must have either 450 documented hours of training in a teacher training program (or combo of programs) or have been teaching Pilates at least 720 hours during the past 12 months. These changes are effective today, July, 1, 2008. Find out more at the PMA website, pilatesmethodalliance.org.
