I've noticed an unexpected up-side to the "Miley Cyrus Does Winsor Pilates" stories that continue to fly around the internet as if they were international news. That is, that Mari Winsor, bless her heart, is actually from a classical Pilates background and she talks a lot about the Pilates powerhouse. So much so, apparently, that powerhouse is the top-trending Pilates term here at pilates.about.com at the moment. I like that.
I can't think of a better idea for people to be seeking info on. The Pilates powerhouse area includes the abdominal muscles, mid and low back, hips, glutes and pelvic floor.
