The "lift" we need in order to have good posture and move gracefully and efficiently in any dimension starts at our feet. Our feet are a stable base, they must also be flexible, strong enough to move us, and highly responsive to the environment underfoot as well as to the continuous shift of our weight as we move and are affected by gravity.
Having a responsive lift in the arches sends a message up loft all the way up the leg and into the pelvis and abdomen. Arch lifts are a simple exercise that will help your arches gain and maintain integrity . Anyone can do them. When you practice arch lifts, you might even feel the connection between lifted arches and lifted abdominal muscles.
