The Pilates chair could become part of an overall recovery program for someone with sciatica but it’s not where one would start — especially not on ones own. I suggest you read this article: How Pilates Can Help Sciatica which is an interview I did with Dr. Brent Anderson of Polestar Pilates. I think it will give you a lot of insight into how to approach working with sciatica. There are also exercise suggestions there.
