Pilates Exercise of the Week: Upper Body Workout with Resistance Band

resistance band exerciseResistance band exercises are wonderful for toning the muscles of the upper body. This week we have a special feature sequence of four resistance band exercises that focus on the biceps, triceps, shoulders, chest and upper back. Of course this is a Pilates-based workout so your whole body will be engaged, especially your powerhouse.

Our featured guest instructor is Lisa Hubbard. She is the founder of Rhythm Pilates, a BASI Pilates senior faculty member and Pilates model who has been featured in books and DVDs by Rael Isacowitz, and in Pilates Style Magazine. Lisa has two Pilates DVDs of her own. Her Total Body Pilates with Mini Ball won our 2012 Readers' Choice Award for best beginner Pilates DVD. She  has also recently released her new DVD, Accelerated Pilates with Resistance Band. After I watched it for my review, I  asked Lisa to share some resistance band exercises with us, which she has done, beautifully.
