Pilates Exercise of the Week: Chest Lift on the Ball

Pilates Exercise - Chest LiftChest lift is a beginner exercise. It is an excellent foundational exercise for learning how to get a good abdominal scoop and lengthening of the spine to curl up into many Pilates exercises.

But chest lift is not an easy exercise. It works the abdominal muscles quite strongly and the ball there is a bit of a balance and leverage challenge added.

Try chest lift on the exercise ball. If you don't have an exercise ball, do chest lift on the mat,  an excellent exercise as well.
