It has been such a pleasure to have Pilates instructor Alisa Wyatt guest teach and demo the whole series of 6 Pilates reformer rowing exercises for us. This week we focus on numbers 5 and 6, often referred to as Shaving and Hug or Hug a Tree.
If you haven't been with us from the beginning, you might want to review our other installments: the rowings 1 - 2 and the rowings 3 - 4. If you start with 1 - 2, you know I'll have you linked up so you can go straight through if you want. Enjoy.
No Reformer? One of the things that Alisa says about the rowings is that "the rowing series is all about connecting to your center and radiating the strength from the base of your hips up your back and out your arms." Do some Pilates mat exercises with that in mind.
