Guide Review - Music CD for Exercise
I like this CD. I find that it supports my current home workout quite well. It's uplifting, it keeps a good groove going, and it offers enough variety to keep my interest. I'm using it with the Quick Workout and the Strength and Stretch level 2 workout.
Most of the tracks do carry a strong beat. For those of you looking for music to incorporate into your classes, I think this would be a good choice to pull from, especially for the power phase of your class, but might be too demanding to just put on leave on. I find that I choose to go half time on several tracks. If you are up for creating some Pilates choreography, this would be a good CD to check out.
Though it is called Power Pilates, there is nothing particularly Pilates about it. One could just as easily do yoga or any kind of workout to it. I don't see it as appropriate for some of the more introspective, slow routines that we do in Pilates or yoga, but I do recommend it as a good addition to anyones music workout library.
note: There is no special connection between Power Pilates the music CD and Power Pilates the Pilates company.
