A Foot Corrector!

Tuesday June 13, 2006
Pilates Foot CorrectorWho knew? Well probably a lot of people, but not me. The foot corrector is a piece of traditional Pilates equipment, and I must have been introduced to it before, but I didn't need it then like I do now, and I forgot. Anyway, I was telling my current instructor about some foot problems I've been having and out comes this amazing little gizmo. The foot corrector is kind of like a miniature saddle on a spring that you push down with your foot. I could tell right away that it was helping me work my foot in a more balanced way. What a great thing for those of us with foot problems. Once again, I am in awe of all the things Joseph Pilates thought of. Ask your instructor about the foot corrector and make sure you learn to use it properly. It seems to be a somewhat obscure item but I found a couple of sources for them on the web. The foot corrector pictured here is from Peak Pilates. Check for Pilates equipment sources and reviews in buying Pilates equipment.
