Pilates Exercise of the Week: Arms Reach/Pull
Wednesday August 6, 2008
Arm reach and pull is a fundamental exercise that will help increase your awareness of shoulder stability and how your scapula move on your back.
Your scapula are the wing like bones on either side of your back. Their position often reflects the stability of the shoulder area. In Pilates exercises, we almost always want the scapula to be down and settled flat on the back, which is an integrated position. Becoming aware of the scapula and how they move will enhance every exercise that you do.
