August was a big month for Pilates here at About.com so I thought before we all go full-tilt boogie into September, I'd make sure you didn't miss anything you might have wanted to see.
Everyone likes Pilates exercises the best, it seems, and after all, that's what were doing this for, so these were our exercises of the week during August:
Upper Body Workouts
Roll Back with a Twist
Reformer Exercise - Climb a Tree
Six Pilates Stretches
There were also a couple special articles I'd like to make sure you know about. One was my interview with Ken Endelman, the president of Balanced Body, Inc., the largest Pilates equipment manufacturer and also a Pilates instructor training provider. Ken and I talked about a lot of interesting things such as how he thinks about Pilates equipment design and the Pilates industry. Please see:
Building Pilates Equipment and Promoting the Industry with Ken Endelman
I was also really happy to bring you the story of Len Palombi, who became a Pilates instructor at the age of 60. Many of you found Len's personal account inspiring and wrote to me or left comments on the blog about it. Thank you for those. If you missed it, please see:
Out of Shape at 50, Teaching Pilates at 60
Of course we did a lot more in August. We went in depth on twists and back extensions and focused a lot on the back and shoulders. Also, I admit it, I went a little nuts about the Olympians who did Pilates.
