The point is that so far there is a racerback top and a pair of workout pants in Lucy's new Perfect Core line and they want to do your workout for you.

The idea behind the Perfect Core pant and top is that they compress you, shape you, and give your midsection a little pressurized feedback toward better alignment. They have some extra panels and stitching that does that. If you are a loose and freedom-loving clothes type, this line might not be for you. But if you like more structured clothes that are doing all they can to smooth out flaws and give you an enhanced look, the Perfect Core pants and tops are for you.

My first thought when I picked up my Perfect Core pants was that they were surprisingly heavy for a pant being introduced in the spring. But I put them on and found them very comfortable and not hot at all. They are fitted and stylish, and hooray for Lucy for giving us a pant with a higher waist.

When I heard the Perfect Core workout clothes were very form fitting I got Lucy to send me larges because I don't like very tight clothes. But then I realized that I was missing out on the compression that was supposed to make me look better and stand up taller. So I went to my local Lucy store to try on mediums. Lo and behold, when I put the top on with the pants, I looked fabulous. I looked just like the photo above (exactly, I swear). Well, I felt like I did. Actually, the larger size is comfortable and the fabric still did a good job of smoothing certain bumpy areas... so choose what meets your needs.

I haven't had my core pants long enough to know how well they hold up to workouts and washes. At $98.00 I'm expecting a lifetime. But I was wearing my Lucy Vitality pants at the store and had to stifle an urge to brag about what great shape they were in after years of at least weekly wear.

the top
The racerback top is a marvel of engineering. It's got a padded bra, it lifts, it smooths your tummy, and it's long enough to cover whatever the pant doesn't. And the blue is truly gorgeous. On the other hand, I had to fight my way out it to the point that I thought I might have to call for help. I'm sure I'd get the hang of it eventually.

the bottom line
I know a lot of women are looking for workout clothes that offer extra structure and are super stylish. I think Lucy might have the answer for you here. Personally, I can't wear compressing clothes too often, but when I want to look really hot, this is the outfit.
