The Pilates Spine Corrector or Step Barrel and Half Arc

Many mat exercises can be translated onto the spine corrector and the half arc. They are not as commonly marketed for home use as the reformer and chair are. But once you have instruction, they are good additions to the home equipment collection. The equipment pictured above, a spine corrector with handles and a half arc with handles, is made by Stott Pilates but it is all traditional Pilates equipment. The spine corrector is also known as the step barrel.
