Definition: A counter stretch is an exercise that stretches the body in an opposite way than the exercise you performed before it. It usually stretches the opposing muscles, as well.

Alternate Spellings: counter stretch

Examples: A counter stretch for a flexion (forward-bending) exercise would be an extension (backward-bending) exercise.
