Definition: To flex is to decrease the angel between parts. Flexing ones muscles usually results in bringing boney parts closer together. For example forward flexion brings the shoulder girdle and pelvis closer together. Pronunciation: Flex-shon Also Known As: flexing muscles Examples: The Pilates Hundred is a forward flexion exercise.
