The program structure

HOW THE COURSE RUNS:

Each day consists of Lectures on Pilates Theory, Anatomy and Practical classes. You will complete 12 Modules. During the Practical, we will teach Pilates Repertoire (exercises). Each Exercise will be taught in detail- the objective, how to…, breathing, faults and corrections, compensations, when to and when not to…. ect. You learn how to do each exercise and how to teach each exercise. How to see compensations and to correct them. This is where you will become confident in presenting your exercise program and perfect your skill as an instructor.

What makes this program special is:

Anatomy and Physiology Based.

Our Curriculum deals with Anatomy and physiology in depth to insure ultimate education. We do not just teach exercises, we equip our students with a complete anatomical and physiological understanding of the body, so that they may train the fittest sportmen and women to the pregnant, geriatrics and our specilization- Full body rehabilitation -pre and post operative.

The Supremacy Pilates courses are of the highest standard stemming from the founders background in Science and Human Sciences through the University of Cambridge (UK) and Bsc Human Physiology and Biochemistry (UJ),also from the input and endorsement of Marthie Leach (Msc -Dietetics) South Africa’s leading Dietician, Founder and Director of Leach and Associates.

Supremacy Pilates method is based on Joseph Pilates’ work and the basic principles of Pilates, however we also focus on the multifidus in the back and on the pelvic floor for stabilization.

We focus on largely on “Rehabilitation” even in clients who seemingly do not have injuries, as we all have weaknesses and postural deviances. We continually work on correcting posture by stabilizing, balancing and strengthening muscles.

Supremacy considers each person individually and trains them according to their posture, strength’s, weakness and injuries and according to their personal goals. We specialize in Postural analysis and basic muscle strength testing.

Our method is of the highest standard; proven by the clients we train and the results they obtain. We also incorporate cardiovascular exercise in our sessions to emphasize the importance of it in an exercise program. This allows our clients to do cardio here and not have to join a gym to do it. This method is so beneficial to do in many ways and focuses on the person as a whole.
